That’s why we’ve invested in the Testo 872s Building Kit – a high-performance thermal imaging camera that enhances our ability to detect damp, mould, and hidden moisture issues with accuracy and efficiency.
The Testo 872s building kit allows us to carry out non-invasive inspections, using high-resolution thermal imaging to identify temperature differences and moisture build-up behind walls, ceilings, and floors. This means we can locate the source of damp problems quickly and provide clear visual evidence to support our findings.
As part of our broader approach to mould prevention and compliance, we’ve also added the Testo 417 kit to our toolkit. This allows us to test and measure airflow from bathroom extractor fans, ensuring they meet the necessary ventilation standards to reduce moisture build-up—a key factor in preventing mould growth.
Poor ventilation is one of the most common contributors to persistent damp and mould issues, so having the ability to verify fan performance adds another level of accuracy and assurance for our customers.
We have attended numerous specialist courses in damp and mould to ensure we are fully qualified in all areas of detection and remediation. We offer damp and mould surveys, which can include thermal imaging if required. Having the right equipment is vital to achieve the correct outcome. With Awaab’s Law coming into effect from 1st October, we’re ensuring that we’re ready to help landlords and property owners stay compliant by tackling the root causes of damp and mould proactively.
